Roberto Mateo signs exclusively for Fibwi Radio to lead sports programming

Fibwi Radio takes a qualitative leap in its commitment to sports journalism in the Balearic Islands with the exclusive incorporation of Roberto Mateo. With 15 years of experience at Radio Marca behind him, Mateo arrives to lead 'La Zona 10', the number one sports program in the archipelago. His deep knowledge of Balearic sport and his dynamic and approachable style promise to further raise the level of this program, which is broadcast from 12:00 to 14:00. Accompanied by Luis Forteza and Juanmi Sánchez, Roberto Mateo will offer the perfect combination of rigorous information and entertainment, thus consolidating 'La Zona 10' as an undisputed benchmark for sport in the Balearic Islands. “I am very excited about this new project and I am convinced that together we will make 'La Zona 10' an even more complete and attractive program for our listeners,” says Roberto Mateo.

Francisco Alcalde, Founding CEO of Fibwi, has highlighted the importance of this incorporation within the station's strategy of promoting quality regional programming, with Balearic sports professionals such as Roberto Mateo, Juan Roca and Juan Antonio Bauzá. "We want to offer the Balearic audience the sports following they deserve, and for this we have the best journalists," said Alcalde.

After not renewing its agreement with Radio Marca, Fibwi Radio seeks to take another step towards autonomy, including live broadcasts of RCD Mallorca matches on its schedule, offering full coverage of each match.

Roberto Mateo thus joins the team of outstanding professionals at Fibwi Radio, where names such as José María Barrero (Algo Más), Juan Carlos Fernández (La Contra Portada), Juan Alcalde (DJ Sp1der with Esto es lo que hay), Cristina Álvarez, Juanma Martos and David Martín (Top Hits). In addition, Juan Carlos Hernández will be in charge of the News at 8:00 p.m., reinforcing the station's news coverage.

"La Zona 10" will not only be heard on the radio, but can also be enjoyed on the television screen, since the program will be broadcast every day from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. live on the DTT channel regional network of Fibwi Television, thus expanding its reach and offering a multimedia experience to sports fans.

With this powerful lineup of professionals and with the promise of new programs and collaborators on the way, Fibwi Radio and Fibwi Television consolidate their place as leaders in the Balearic media landscape, offering quality content in both the sports and information fields. The programs will be broadcast on Fibwi Radio frequencies 101.4 MHz and 103.9 MHz, thus offering wide coverage for all listeners on the islands.
