All set for the 2nd Edition of the Fibwi Illes Balears Youth Football Trophy in Ibiza
Base sports are ready to shine again in Ibiza with the celebration of the second edition of the Fibwi Illes Balears Youth Football Trophy, presented today at the headquarters of the Consell d'Eivissa. This event, which is becoming a key date in the island's sports calendar, promises to be an unforgettable experience for both young footballers and their families.
A tournament that promotes sports tourism
During the presentation, the Sports Councillor, Salvador Losa, along with municipal sports representatives from Sant Antoni and Sant Josep, David Sánchez and Xicu Ribas, highlighted the importance of this tournament for the destagionalization of sports tourism on the island. They also emphasized the rapid consolidation of this event as a benchmark in Balearic youth football.
Innovations that make a difference
This edition comes with important advances that strengthen its commitment to innovation, inclusion, and respect:
Expanded categories: More teams and categories will participate this year, fostering diversity and growth of the tournament.
New mobile app: An app will allow attendees to follow matches, results, and event activities in real-time, enhancing the overall experience.
A safe and respectful environment:
Training for workers and volunteers.
Awareness campaigns against child violence on social media.
An anonymous ethical channel to report discrimination, harassment, or abuse.
Solidarity at its core
One of the most notable gestures of this edition is the free invitation to the Paiporta Football Club, whose players can participate following the difficulties caused by recent floods in their town. This solidarity gesture has been made possible thanks to the support of Balearia, Hotel Puchet, and Alsa, who have facilitated the team's travel and accommodation.
